EMF danger levels & other questions answered
Electro Protect Consultancy
For those coming new to this area you are likely to have alot of questions that need answering. What are EMF danger levels? What is dirty electricity? How can I reduce my exposure to EMFs? What is EMF sensitivity? I have spent years on this journey learning and training in building biology methods. I have made some resources available on this website, but if you need a more intensive advice session I also provide consultancy services.
Advice Sessions
Electrosensitive Personal Impact
- This is a useful way to learn about the condition and effective methods to manage the symptoms. If you are experiencing symptons, this session will avoid time and worry spent with self experimentation and the use of non-prescription medication to cover or suppress the symptoms rather than address the cause.
- Personal Protection Guidance
- Supportive guidance on how to recognise your unique sources of EMF stressors on your body system, what measures to take in order gain some control and stabilise. Take the opportunity to express your own experiences in a context where you are fully understood it can remove the almost equally distressing feelings of not being believed.
- Patient Recovery Environment Advice
- Restorative conditions are of particular importance where someone is recovering from an Illness of operation. Incorporating principles from a Building Biology perspective may be a key to shortening the recovery time. You may be pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of simply reducing the body burden in terms of invisible environmental influences and geopathic stress. This is particulary apparent in terms of sleep quality which itself underpins any restorative process.
- Employer /Employee Education EMF
This session will give you an overview of potential legal issues in terms of liability claims for EMF exposure claims for compensation. And the simple steps you can take to avoid this issue as an employer. This is a general advice session to identify potential issues to consider and does not constitute a legal opinion or specific legal advice.
Building Biology Consultancy
Building Biology covers a vast array of subject material and application which inevitably leads to specialisation in one or more areas. I take an interest in all aspects and the continued education and dissemination of best practice and information is at the heart of the holistic application of the Building Biology Community ethic. The subjects below reflect my own experience to date of subjects I can reliably advise on and manage with confidence.
Electrical systems
Inspection & testing for safety
Clean power filtering devices
Design of power distribution.
Reduction of electrical fields for new and existing installations
Lighting selection and installation.
Demand switches (to reduce electrical fields in bedroom circuits at night)
Alternative electrical systems and their health implications e.g Photo Voltaic (solar panel installations ) inverters
Electromagnetic Fields Diagnostic
Measurement of internal and external sources – High & Low Frequency
Actual body measurements – Voltage and Amperage
How and which bodily mechanisms are affected by Electromagnetic fields
Shielding techniques and applications
Grounding of conductive surfaces and material
Renovation Planning with Building Biology in mind
Simply put, much can be done at the planning stage to create a healthy living environment. Gaining an overall perspective on potential health effects of design choices will allow you to make decisions about choices of materials and room layout (particularly sleeping area layout) at an early stage. By doing this costs can be reduced, as it is cheaper to factor these considerations in at the design stage than to retrofit measures later on.
Plumbing and water purification systems
There are plenty of considerations in respect of selection and installation of water management systems such as choices over the selection of pipes, installation methods and filtration and water softening systems.
Geopathic Stress (naturally occuring magnetic lines)
The detection and management or avoidance of nodes (crossing points ) in sleeping areas and places where we spend long periods are worthy of greater consideration than may be generally acknowledged. Dowsing reveals these lines and nodes which are best avoided. If we discover nodes, we can, however, use mats to mitigate the strength and diffuse them safely.
Heating & Ventilation
Indoor climate is an important factor for good health in every season.
Issues include: C02 and carbon monoxide monitoring, ventilation methods and back up measures, air pollution and pollutants and pre-purchase considerations for log burners and heating systems.
